The Antigua and Barbuda Swim Team is actively engaged in their campaign activities in Martinique for the Easter weekend.
The second day opened with precision: six swimmers stepped out of the morning session and into finals, each carrying times that told their own quiet story of progress, intent, and execution.
Team Antigua and Barbuda’s finalists were set early:
• Jamie Tranter surged into the 100m backstroke final as the 2nd seed, clocking a personal best of 1:04.21—a statement swim that placed him firmly in medal territory.
• Madison MacMillan secured the 2nd seed in the 400m IM, positioning herself as one of the event’s central contenders heading into the night session.
• Anya DeGannes followed closely, qualifying 3rd in the 400m IM, continuing her strong form across the meet.
• Alessandro Bazzoni advanced as the 5th seed in the 400m IM, adding depth and competitive edge to Antigua and Barbuda’s presence in the event.
• Kaylee Warner delivered a personal best (2:23.88) in the 200m freestyle to qualify 8th, and returned in the 50m butterfly (32.07) to secure the 7th seed, making her one of the team’s double finalists.
• Alyssa Watkins matched that double qualification, posting a personal best (32.18) in the 50m butterfly for the 8th seed, while also advancing in the demanding 400m IM, seeded 8th.
By the time the sun dipped and the finals session began, the foundation had already been laid.
